Sock Update!

Thanks to Amie for the encouragement: I got through the turning of the heel and the picking up of the gusset stitches. There was one awkward moment but it all made sense at the end. I'll try to get a good pic of it for tomorrow.

I feel a HUGE sense of relief...I hate reading patterns and having no idea what they're talking about. I also hate being in a foreign country when I can't speak the language!

Glad the encouragement helped! Did it make sense, about the side vs back of the sock? I don't know why she insisted on shuffling all those stitches.

I'm so stubborn and opinionated, I flat out refused to do it, but I've heard so many people complain about that shuffling...

Yes, Amie, your comments made sense. Once you get it in your head the needles don't have to have the same number of stitches at every breathing moment then it makes it a bit easier.

Hey Kim! Love the photos of your work! You do some nice stuff! All I've ever been able to do are scarves (nice and straight...). Anyway, happy knitting, babe! :)
