Today is St. Distaff's Day, the first day after epiphany. A distaff is used in spinning--it is what you wind the unspun wool around--but St. Distaff's day is 'traditionally' the day women go back to work after taking time off for the holidays.
Interesting, yes?
So I'm putting my head in 'back to work' mode. Ready to take on the next (busy) ten weeks and then the ten weeks after that leading to the summer. I'm in a 'head down, get stuff done, get out' frame of mind, which is not the BEST but not the absolute worst either.
The socks are by Miss Babs, bought at last summer's Sock Summit. Colorway: Crazy Ava. Love.

Love, indeed! Beautiful colors!!
The sock yarn striped but in a very nice way; I love it! That ruffly scarf is wonderful looking, too. Great knitting to wear out there in the cold and damp weather.
