I've read a lot of complaints about recycled sari silk from the himalayas, but I'm not one of the complainers. This is the second thing I've made: I made a purse from knitty last summer, and I just finished this drop stitch scarf. One of my colleagues was wearing a garter stitch scarf and it was very soft, so I knit this up and then washed it. Washing it definitely makes it softer. I love how the colors blend. The pattern consisted of random drop stitch rows (wrapped once, twice, three times, four times, randomly selected) separated by garter stitch rows. I also did fringe on this (obviously) and I'm not a big fringe person, but this fringe is just plain fun.
