Hello, my name is Kim, and I'm originally a Midlander

This poll cracks me up...I found it at Carol's blog.

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

OK, I completely missed yesterday's reads. I wonder if they even have a Northwest table for accents. I only met 1 person from Oregon she's in my knitting group. She doesn't sound "Mid-westy to me" she's very well spoken though. But what do I know? I'm so far south, no one wants to come here ;)
