Too much rain

Tim and I bought a new toy, and were hoping to get it out for a quick paddle on Sunday. Sadly, too much rain and cold weather (yes, the rest of the US, it is still winter here) meant that we had to inflate it in the house and just sit in it longingly.

We love to kayak, and we have several flat water places sort of close by that we like going to. This summer, our friends Steve and Jen got a raft, and started doing some of the gentler rivers in the area. I went down the river in my regular kayak and it was a bit of an adventure--so we decided to buy a blow up so we could do a few more river trips.

It is a two-person, and we bought the delux version with nice seats. It's actually so comfortable I mentioned that if we ever need a replacement couch, we could sit in the kayak.

The first few days of school and I'm worn out all ready. :-)

See --- I went right to the rain must have flooded your house, and you had to take to the kayak to survive. Guess it pays to actually read the accompanying words. . .

I thought it was a new form of television or reading snuggy. Yes, too much rain for comfortable paddling. Soon! You'll have it out there soon.

By the way, love the look of Wingspan shawl. Very interesting and can't wait to see it all blocked out. Color is lovely.
