Finished this cowl, or to be more specific I think it is an infinity scarf, and I'm using lace blocking wires to block it.

I've had a bad, bad case of startitis and am trying to finish the WIPs that I can in order to justify the horrid disease.
This is the Rainbow Herringbone Cowl, my own design (which is basically just Herringbone stitch in the round). This stitch is simple yet can be wonky if you don't knit loosely enough. Pattern to come.
Yarn, the incredibly wonderful Malabrigo Seleccion Privada.

Every year, my unit has an online auction to raise money for Food for Lane County, a local charity that fights hunger. This year I auctioned off a pair of socks--the winner gets to pick out yarn and watch me knit them during faculty meetings. This year's winner is my friend Leslie, and I think the socks raised about $30 for the charity. yay!

This is that cowl (can't think of the name).
Just checked the Rav: the Willow cowl.
This is after a nice cool bath. The previous photo is pre bath.
There was some 'interesting' pooling on the first lace section (the flarey part near the bottom) but it all seemed to reconcile itself by the time I got to the main part of the cowl. Although a cowl that was all pooling would have been fine too. And how weird the change in shape is, at least to me.

This is the start of the Willow Cowl. I've been working on this lately because it is a nice mix of mindless stockinette and semi-mindless lace (yo, k2tog).
I wanted to do a cowl in a non-winterish yarn, and I found this from 2008 in the Stash. It is madtosh sock and the coloway is (I think) Beach Ball, or Beach Umbrella, and it was part of the Woolgirl sock club.
What is it with me and cowls? I used to hate them.
