Tim and I (and the dogs) hit the road for a quick road trip to McMinnville Oregon. It is a town about two hours from here, with a population of about 30,000. However, it is the biggest 'city' in Oregon Wine Country, and we've both heard it is a fun place. So we went up there.
It is also the home of the Spruce Goose, and apparently there is an indoor waterpark right next door to the Spruce Goose where you go down a slide from an airplane. Anyway--we didn't go there but there's that.
McMinnville is so cute. The 'downtown' area is about eight blocks long, filled with cute little shops and unique restaurants. We picked the Creole one, Gem, and we both had po boys.
And McMinnville is the home of Boersma's.
Boersma's is a huge knitting store at the end of the main street with great selection and great prices. It is in an old building, two stories, and is everything a knitting store should be.
