The day after

We had a very relaxing Thanksgiving with the parade, the dog show, the football, the cioppino made by Tim, dip made by me, chocolate pot de creme made by Tim, more football, there you go.

There was a half of a FO spotted:

It is the first (unblocked) Liab! Top is the back and bottom is the front.
Very cool socks, if I do say so myself.

Today we got up pretty early for a vacation day and got ready and then headed out to the coast to visit our property in Pacific City.  The permits are in and we knew there had to be some road work done but we were surprised to arrive and find:

The property, which sits on a hill, has been dug out to prepare for the foundation to be poured. This is standing at the back of the property looking out toward the ocean. It is a bit hard to see here but you can indeed see the haystack rock on Cape Kiwanda.  This view is basically the 'lower' floor, and the living area is all on the upper floor, so our view should be good, and we can hopefully get the trees across the street trimmed too.

You can see the heavy machinery behind us.

Then we went to lunch at the Pelican Brewpub and it was a gorgeous day on the beach. The brewpub is a three minute drive from the house (probably about 40 minutes if you walk because you have to go around and around a bit). We then took a long walk with the dogs and it was gorgeous.

So  on the whole, a great Black Friday!
