Casting on for all the things

I cast on for this yesterday:
It's another Notched hem tank top made with Lang Splash. It is a fun cotton nep yarn. Here's a close-up:
I love the little nep thingees.

I am feeling better today--more like I had a good workout while someone poked my side. I went out for drinks with colleagues last night to celebrate the end of the term and that took my mind off things. I took the dogs out this morning and we did a pretty good walk, so I'm fairly certain that nothing is broken and everything is OK.

I also am spending time on the Alphabet, and it goes really, really slowly:

This is the "A" (it is the Austrlian flag, wrapped around a letter A, you can see the right leg of the A done in a kind of peach color). To the right of that you can see the legs of the bird  (a  brolga) that makes up the B. I like the concentration needed to do CCS, so that's a good thing.

It will be a busy weekend. Tonight we're going to King Estate Winery to celebrate our anniversary (on Sunday, but as you will see that day is kind of busy).  I'm guessing we'll go see the house tomorrow: the counters are supposed to be going in today and we're eager to see how they look.  Some of the tilework is done too (I think our bathroom might be done, not the kitchen backsplash yet though). Sunday I have the Honors reception at 9am and graduation at noon.  And then I'll put a bow on this academic year.

Happy end of school year! Love the yarn for your split tank - very cute. And nice work on your cross stitch! Fun projects. Glad you feel ok after the other day.

I am enamored by that yarn.....how does it feel knitting it up? Hard on the hands?
Glad you are feeling a bit better. Since there is no treatment for rib fx that is not impeding your breathing, and you feel better......that's a good sign. Hooray for the end of the year. Cant wait for more house photos

Very fun yarn for the top-I love the pops of color.
I'm glad you are feeling better and only sore not 'broken'!
