Dear Knitting,

Dear Knitting,

We've been together a long time, and my love for you is deep.

Every so often, though, I get an itch to try something new. You've seen this with me in the past, as I've tried needle felting, weaving, spinning, crochet, all that stuff. I always come back to you, so please remember that when I introduce you to my new crush.

An Australian friend sent me this counted cross stitch kit. It is almost three feet long and two feet wide. It is so cute.

But there's a lot going on .

This is one of FOUR groups of threads used.

This is one of TEN charts. (the A and half of the B).

I started and originally thought "oh I"ll do a letter in an hour". I did two colors of half a letter in two hours. I probably spent most of that time trying to thread the needle.

But I'm excited!

This explains ALL the sad, weepy texts Your Knitting has been sending me. "Help me, Auntie Kim --- what do I do wrong?"
