This One & Done is, um, Done

This photo was taken on the deck, and you can see the 'west' property that we bought last summer here. This is where we cut down trees to get a view and where our summer project will be to hack a path down to the canal which leads to the bay which leads to the ocean--our goal is to be able to have a place to park the kayaks so we can launch them and do a nice little paddle either on the bay or on the Nestucca River.

And  that heavy machinery is not ours--it belongs to Rob the Logger who comes and cuts down trees for us. It seems to be a bit of a permanent fixture, though, and so a call to Rob is in order.

Back to One & Done--tt needs blocking but the stitches are dropped and the corner is on. I'll wait to block it til I'm back in Eugene, as I don't want to transport a damp linen scarf.

Here's a close up of the edging (I think I needed another row of lace but too late for that now).

I love all the little neps of color embedded in the green.

I also did a bit more little stitches yesterday:

This is a fun one.

Looks like you are having a nice weekend escape. I am beginning to see the attraction of a cabin. My weekends book up so quickly and it's hard to say "no" when I'm right here.

I love the zen embroideries that you've been doing. They are lovely -- and look like they are both fun and relaxing to do.

Even unblocked I can see how pretty this shawl will be!
Nice progress on the embroidery, too!
