Lots of busy-ness here!

Sunday was busy with yard work, yesterday was busy with all kinds of stuff. I did a 'big shop' at the Safeway in Lincoln City (25 minutes south), and also went to the Joann's and Rite-Aid (luckily all in the same strip mall).

More experimental crafts

In the afternoon, I did a bit more experimenting with iris folding:

I like these, but they aren't really screaming 'Christmas', are they? I'm going to try a few with just solid colors. I also ordered some Christmas Washi tape--you can do these with washi tape and not need to use tape to hold them down. I also saw a few other options for bows that I'll try as well (and may just use yarn, that would work, right?

So, still experimenting but will get in a groove soon.

Sunny Sunday

We took the dogs for a long beach walk Sunday.

There is a parking lot down by the rock and the cape which gets incredibly crowded. About a mile south is a state park that was practically empty when we got there Sunday morning. It is the type of place where once people get on the beach (you have to climb over a dune), they just sort of SIT where they landed on the beach. We walked south for about a mile and saw only a few people, and so that was nice.

Cloudy Monday

Yesterday was a bit cloudy with drizzles here or there (hence, cards) but it started breaking up at sunset.

Not bad. Not bad at all.

I love the multicolored lights but think the gift boxes would look better made from solid colors. Gorgeous sunset!
