A few cards

I've been playing around with enhancing some of my cards and wanted to show you them. I really enjoy learning how to do interesting stuff with paper and get a little frustrated with myself at times--these things take a lot of practice! But every so often it works like I'd like it to work. Here are some of the kind of cool things I've been doing.

First, I've been playing around with blended inks. Yes, it's stamping. I have gone down the stamping rabbit hole. Anyway, here is a blended 'sunset' that looks good behind the rock silhouette.

And here is an ocean (or a night sky) behind the whale. I need to do a 'mask' so I can keep the cardstock behind the whale itself white, which will make the whale pop. This dark blue ocean (night sky) is one of my favorite blends.

Second, I've been playing around with heat embossing. This is where you stamp on a pattern, and then put some embossing powder on top, and then dry it with a heat gun.

These two have the same pattern--it's kind of an under sea motif.

This is really a lot of fun.

Yikes! This is a dangerous post for me to read. :) Your cards are all wonderful and make me want to pull out the stamping supplies.... except I gave them away when we moved because I'm really a horrible rubber stamper. But...

Your cards really are beautiful!
