Lots of unrelated things

Yesterday was my birthday and as those of you with March and April birthdays have already learned, birthdays are interesting in interesting times. Tim did so much to make it really special (and it was), including a delicious dinner with Steak Diane and gifts wrapped up in fabric and lots of time spent together.  Plus one of our local restaurants made a chocolate cheesecake just for me.

And as a weather day it was lovely.

This is the progress on the Storm Shawl--I'm getting close to the end on this one as well.

I made these cards for our moms for Mother's Day--I think this reflective gold paper behind a solid color looks really cool.

And this happened the other day--we had a limb that Tim referred to as a Widow Maker that needed to be cut off, so we did that. Well not us, but the same guy who cut down the big trees.

Happy belated birthday! Mine is coming up in a few weeks. Last year I celebrated by going to the dentist. This year, I'll be partying at the endocrinologist's office. I really know how to live it up! :)

Great cards and shawl. Love the shawl colors!
