Monday through Wednesday appear to be my busy days this term, and today I only have two Zoom meetings and tomorrow--maybe none. There's one I can definitely skip. My class seems to be going well--great great discussion yesterday and they are meeting in small groups and forming a cohort, so I feel positive.
In the big news--I've started the bind-off of Botanic Shawl. I didn't do the final repeat because it is big enough now and it will get bigger after blocking, and I was just ready. It's an icord bind off which I like but which takes time. The other nice thing is that there are minimal ends to weave in.
I also did another potholder. This one took two tries before I could bind it off without it all going to hell.
I'm a bit behind on Inktober (I have yesterday and today to do), but here was 10/5---rodent.
In reading news:
-I finished The Boy in the Field. I give it a B. I liked it but not sure exactly what the point was.
-I finished Yesterday's News by R. G. Belsky about a news producer who solves a cold crime. I liked this one, as I thought it was a nice twist on a police procedural.
-I finished Just Like You by Nick Hornby. I was looking forward to this one and almost put it away two or three times, it just didn't take. I kept going to finish it though.
Right now, I'm reading "The Searcher" by Tana French and "Happy and You Know It" by Laura Hankin, along with the book about starfish jewelry.
I think that's it? How are you?
