Good news!

Whatever you've heard about the current real estate market in the United States, I can confirm. We put our house on the market Thursday night, and as of last evening (Tuesday)  we are under contract. The offer was very, very strong. We are keeping our fingers crossed that the inspection goes well. The buyers are coming from out of town and apparently really want the house (I think they really want the neighborhood--there is almost nothing for sale in our neighborhood, which is in the best school district in Eugene).

It was a bit of a stressful day yesterday, as the offer we accepted came in after the deadline we had set (they let us know it would be late) and we had a lot to consider in deciding which offer we'd take (we had three). Our realtors were incredibly, incredibly helpful.

In order to keep my mind busy, I made some cards yesterday. These first ones are made with Washi tape and are nice summery cards.

I made these second ones to send out with my Frida Kahlo trading cards---there's a famous Frida Kahlo self portrait where she wears a hummingbird necklace, and I thought this was a nice call back to that.

I hope your day is happy!

Oh, We only had one good offer on our home after 3 weeks. You breezed through that timetable! Hooray for you!! I have to agree that the schools make a big difference in prices in our old town.

Oh, HURRAY! I'm so glad you were able to sell your house so quickly -- and with a good offer. BRAVO! (And those are great cards!) XO
