If you've bought something from KnitPicks lately, your package may have had a 'seek and find' puzzle in it. I was very very involved in this academic group during my time at the UO, and I served in several offices throughout my time. I haven't been to one of the conferences in person since 2019---it was cancelled in 2020, 2021 is online and I went to one of the sessions for that, and then I skipped 2022 and 2023 once I retired. It changes locations every year, and this year was in Portland. One of my former PhD students organized a panel with three other of my former students, and asked me to be a discussant. So we did that Saturday morning and it went well, it was great to see them, and we had fun. A few other colleagues from Eugene came up, and I had dinner with them Friday night, and that was great. <p></p><p>The weirdest part (that needs processing) came from the reaction I got from others at the conference. Now this is a conference where I know personally (have had conversations, meals, drinks with) 150+ of the attendees. And the majority of them, when they saw me, said to me "what are you doing here?". And not in a 'oh it's wonderful to see you" way. In an almost---accusatory way. Like I didn't belong. </p><p>People who used to seek me out for a fifteen minute sit-down, getting my thoughts on things, now said "oh hello, we'll have to catch up sometime" and quickly moved on to someone else. I guess this is because I know longer have anything I can offer to (younger) people at the conference---I probably won't write a tenure letter for them or be a gatekeeper for a journal that they want to submit to. It doesn't make me feel old, it just makes me feel used. And honestly--if I was asked to write a tenure letter for someone that I know through the organization, I probably would. Anyway, it was kind of a weird situation for me, and I'm glad that I won't have to go to that conference again. </p><p>I contrasted these people to my former colleagues at Oregon, where I visited about a month ago. The people I ran into there said "It is so great to see you, you look terrific, what are you doing in retirement?" At the conference, no one asked what I was doing and in fact that only thing people asked me was "how bored are you?"</p><p>It was weird. I've always had a love-hate relationship with this group, for various reasons, and honestly while it is kind of hurtful, it is good to be done with them. </p><p>Anyway, thanks for letting me process this here! Back to normal posts tomorrow. </p>Kim in Oregonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11023886873129498637noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7835299.post-56504243906297906972024-03-14T00:30:00.000-07:002024-03-14T00:30:00.139-07:00Spring promise<p> We are set to have a lovely warm-ish weekend, and I took advantage of that yesterday to get some seeds into the ground. This sweater has an interesting construction which is basically: you knit about half of the back, then knit part of the fronts by picking up stitches on the slanty parts above, then join the whole thing together and knit the bottom half, and then at some point you add sleeves. </p><p>A long long time ago I was really struggling with knitting a sock on two needles. I emailed Cat Bordhi (rest in peace lovely lady) with my frustrations, and her advice was "don't think about it too much, just follow the directions and have faith it will work out." And I'm adopting that for my mantra with this sweater too.</p><p>In real life the yarn isn't as dark as it looks here, and I think it will be great for summer. We didn't 'sleep in' today in hopes that we can ease into the new time tomorrow--I'm sure we'll all be a bit sleepy this week but hopefully it won't be too bad. </p><p>Time for this week's collages! First off is the 'fifty stack' challenge where the prompts were 'art' and 'button'. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEho_lO2twmNS5fHWogxqErWWfmXLY7sZQl4-1ydaznaJCLLNkJMCPRlmkrqlKb-Qg6MMYTcI4KF1ryobw2NHCU1vw4GLf4kcmhrG3rAhs6j8PrCLDnfGzxL87HWz1TZR3TuursNvaRmtBnjJtmrfD7VKqH5ObEqvQvwXqMWog2CwWDOHw2FNupzZg/s4032/IMG_7634%202.HEIC" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEho_lO2twmNS5fHWogxqErWWfmXLY7sZQl4-1ydaznaJCLLNkJMCPRlmkrqlKb-Qg6MMYTcI4KF1ryobw2NHCU1vw4GLf4kcmhrG3rAhs6j8PrCLDnfGzxL87HWz1TZR3TuursNvaRmtBnjJtmrfD7VKqH5ObEqvQvwXqMWog2CwWDOHw2FNupzZg/w300-h400/IMG_7634%202.HEIC" width="300" /></a></div>Here is 'art' close up:<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5_PnvzDm28kwavdVef904zsZSFBEMFX5lpyTM-2HONWcnw1Yvm_pHq9mXp9k4N18TkvP6z4RDERa1ekQxD1hT2_Pve5sD9_EqmSKSthwOy2MwrWz5ZFT4L8HqHsvk7NGw8zz_l4GVL_QXRLineBD9sO-ypS1_kaUtKg6z52gcEDlTAipQORmDTw/s4032/IMG_7635%202.HEIC" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5_PnvzDm28kwavdVef904zsZSFBEMFX5lpyTM-2HONWcnw1Yvm_pHq9mXp9k4N18TkvP6z4RDERa1ekQxD1hT2_Pve5sD9_EqmSKSthwOy2MwrWz5ZFT4L8HqHsvk7NGw8zz_l4GVL_QXRLineBD9sO-ypS1_kaUtKg6z52gcEDlTAipQORmDTw/w300-h400/IMG_7635%202.HEIC" width="300" /></a></div>And here is button. I think I mentioned we had taken her off one anxiety drug because it seemed to be increasing her aggressiveness and then we put her on fluoxetine and CBD (CBD because it takes fluoxetine about 4-6 weeks to 'load' and we want to try to keep her anxiety down). Well, the good news is that after a little more than two weeks we are seeing some improvements. She seems happier, she wants pets (for a while we were afraid to touch her because she would be reactive), she is happy in her crate (she regressed in crate training for a while), she's doing well with counter-conditioning and reactivity training, and most importantly---she and Comet played a little bit together yesterday! And then today, Comet was resting in a sunbeam, and Scout took four toys from the toy box and brought them over to Comet (the toy box was on the opposite side of the room from Comet). It was the sweetest thing--do you think Scout wanted to play some more? Anyway, we are feeling a bit hopeful that this new drug regimen might work (and we'll taper off CBD in a few weeks). </p></div>Kim in Oregonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11023886873129498637noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7835299.post-23388348292574020622024-03-06T00:30:00.000-08:002024-03-06T00:30:00.166-08:00I just did it<p> In an earlier post, I posited that if I knit twelve rounds a day on the Morley I could have it done by the weekend. </p><p>But--I just wanted it done. And I wasn't feeling that great on Monday or Tuesday, so I ended up doing a lot of knitting and reading. And guess what happens if you do that?</p><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOGm7jXg0gr0mxtSozsnSZPu_wp5Uym4zNvUa-yPFqT5TSlTFZNqMervFasmzHyymKoV-6adTCMFMZpIpvT8sq3VacGkxEvSrytYFj4hYqvGKWE-8QlJHcSAKGsb2MB9ea9TowWTjn4CXgn9WbNR6RXdexHWXrf99JXBErAJlaMlw92X8_ZukM4A/s4032/IMG_7633.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOGm7jXg0gr0mxtSozsnSZPu_wp5Uym4zNvUa-yPFqT5TSlTFZNqMervFasmzHyymKoV-6adTCMFMZpIpvT8sq3VacGkxEvSrytYFj4hYqvGKWE-8QlJHcSAKGsb2MB9ea9TowWTjn4CXgn9WbNR6RXdexHWXrf99JXBErAJlaMlw92X8_ZukM4A/w480-h640/IMG_7633.HEIC" width="480" /></a></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Yep, it is done. It is done and seamed together. I didn't end up using the provision cast on in the way it is supposed to be used for this--I just could not get my head around doing kitchener stitch in the round (and at one point I put one of the round stitches on a straight needle to see if that would work and WHAT TYPE OF A CRAZY IDEA WAS THAT?) (As I said, I was a bit under the weather). So I ended up binding off each end in the traditional bind-offy way, and then I seamed like you would seam a sleeve onto a sweater (that has a name too, doesn't it? Is it mattress stitch?). Anyway, it looks good and I can place the seam (which isn't really visible) on the back of my neck if I want to. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Here I am contemplating its beauty in my bathroom mirror. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzGz6B9WbxunuGSxO3ofFkL_rqRDlUwH7Wsk4hxdrS6x0WNgkT_hMEtM4TZgzaUPPkKGie5sSTROXzBf_o-mUXArm0OOjABQGAjW6nK8dewKqdVOSvI27KrOFvBY1-1hO9Gx0F5jMTUvTWzeGxQYLgG3Pfa5FziUJG9wGsJJRy1imRPEwI8JIbwQ/s3088/IMG_7630.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3088" data-original-width="2316" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzGz6B9WbxunuGSxO3ofFkL_rqRDlUwH7Wsk4hxdrS6x0WNgkT_hMEtM4TZgzaUPPkKGie5sSTROXzBf_o-mUXArm0OOjABQGAjW6nK8dewKqdVOSvI27KrOFvBY1-1hO9Gx0F5jMTUvTWzeGxQYLgG3Pfa5FziUJG9wGsJJRy1imRPEwI8JIbwQ/w300-h400/IMG_7630.HEIC" width="300" /></a></div><div><br /></div>And here it is when I loop it around my neck twice. I like this knit, but does anyone ever have a project that they were sad when it was over and you thought "I wish I could just keep knitting on this forever?" Sure, we might knit ones we like again, but probably not immediately after finishing the first one? Other than plain socks, I can only think of a few things I've knit multiples of (Clapotis, and I think "One and Done" by Casapinka). Anyway, I have maybe 60 more rounds or so until it is done--I'll try to knit 12 rounds a day and maybe get this one done by next weekend. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwJ_4Ih6KLLWlrzinHltpk241yziav9hZ7RYk0arJettY0LkYmeEdNJiRCGNa-mVrSwpH4WodvaqUu6_B-b4DprotMMh43eZTSiWU60m4R37nh7ss8NoZ-JtSLK49htp9753ThJEZED1ojW9_yyDlxijtu9RUHgAsxRXeE8x4NHWBPwucLIcztlQ/s4032/IMG_7619.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwJ_4Ih6KLLWlrzinHltpk241yziav9hZ7RYk0arJettY0LkYmeEdNJiRCGNa-mVrSwpH4WodvaqUu6_B-b4DprotMMh43eZTSiWU60m4R37nh7ss8NoZ-JtSLK49htp9753ThJEZED1ojW9_yyDlxijtu9RUHgAsxRXeE8x4NHWBPwucLIcztlQ/w480-h640/IMG_7619.HEIC" width="480" /></a></div><p>We had a miserable weekend, weather wise, which allowed me to get a lot of stuff done inside--a big clean of the craft room, some reorganization of stuff, and I got our taxes done. I stamped light grey cardstock and then cut out the kites by hand. The center one is from (of course) a gelli print. Then I stamped a dark grey piece of cardstock with silver. The kites are mounted with a little piece of mounting tape. I am at the point where I don't really follow the prompts anymore (oops) when there's something else that I want to do. For this one, I had recently purchased some collage paper that has these watercolor birds on it. So that became the base. I added some darker tissue paper and some 'bumpy' white paper, plus a feather. Some of the prompts were 'something bumpy', 'something that blows in the wind', and 'a number' so I got a few of the prompts in there. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4G9sKkQEPEsL2XBMp1fc787sjp_lHxN9BGroiZkTQD-B2_hVqwhT4gz5Ozhsyq1aVQYbZDEaU0PMy11H8Cgh1AmNy-Cy74MHWTma8Iwg4pSkTflln_Wf6yazbXlYMPTVDS_HtTjn9K5urRYjnQlV6UyDDROqtFH2xHPOaXHggVj6ojgJeFsN5Mg/s4032/IMG_7614.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4G9sKkQEPEsL2XBMp1fc787sjp_lHxN9BGroiZkTQD-B2_hVqwhT4gz5Ozhsyq1aVQYbZDEaU0PMy11H8Cgh1AmNy-Cy74MHWTma8Iwg4pSkTflln_Wf6yazbXlYMPTVDS_HtTjn9K5urRYjnQlV6UyDDROqtFH2xHPOaXHggVj6ojgJeFsN5Mg/w640-h480/IMG_7614.HEIC" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p>We have had snow showers off and on all weekend but nothing has stuck. When the recipient gets the postcard, they go to the site to enter the code, and then you get put on the list to receive a postcard. So it's not an exchange, or a trade--it's just sending out postcards. </div><div><br /></div><div>The default is that you'll get someone not in your home country, and the first five addresses I received were in: Finland, The Netherlands, China, Switzerland, and Germany. In addition to our usual dog walks and Saturday pub lunch, we went out to brunch with our friends Kevin and Patty on Sunday at the Pelican Pub on the beach. The weather was miserable but it was fun to hang out with friends! We are also taking an online course for training deaf dogs--it's very good and helping us a lot. We have a consult with the trainer who does the classes to discuss some specific Scout things in a few weeks, so it will be good to be through her class and have the basics down. </p><p>I finished by next eight little art works!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIh3m7ToMLPGlzhOxNKfPbKWrsjB-sNj9L3Mjjge88jenZm8g_iKMc9FUtCbj6U_a-rkPdBn6sovecIpOZFIlqQtvh2KsUR6LiXcsAJI5SmABem_tPI6w31Bj9J3e0rZ_uKZZeh5mepQf3pYm5Fn-FyWjTLnq_IbrwTErAmuPilkDnzJma-_vlDg/s4032/IMG_7582.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIh3m7ToMLPGlzhOxNKfPbKWrsjB-sNj9L3Mjjge88jenZm8g_iKMc9FUtCbj6U_a-rkPdBn6sovecIpOZFIlqQtvh2KsUR6LiXcsAJI5SmABem_tPI6w31Bj9J3e0rZ_uKZZeh5mepQf3pYm5Fn-FyWjTLnq_IbrwTErAmuPilkDnzJma-_vlDg/w480-h640/IMG_7582.HEIC" width="480" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9BZl0eE2EzDSJBCD4qJH68mx1hO6Mu-bpYovytGvY43DF1zleoF3xug3wdLv7-4_6_Bqvmzc0m2OX8jX6eHyZ8EDW72u-n1QtKHP3U9NdsjGEOnNMOlqEh9xAkfLQa6oM7048CNayjswtIDboIn8ECRCG9JVAbFRthpj4JmXdzNoG9fd4xNXszw/s4032/IMG_7583.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9BZl0eE2EzDSJBCD4qJH68mx1hO6Mu-bpYovytGvY43DF1zleoF3xug3wdLv7-4_6_Bqvmzc0m2OX8jX6eHyZ8EDW72u-n1QtKHP3U9NdsjGEOnNMOlqEh9xAkfLQa6oM7048CNayjswtIDboIn8ECRCG9JVAbFRthpj4JmXdzNoG9fd4xNXszw/w480-h640/IMG_7583.HEIC" width="480" /></a></div><div><br /></div>This is my favorite of the group. Want to take a guess as to what they are?<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_rgt7vBAM9dpvbC5cV5c4ckun-aCwERkvldUoZ6Sat3Y2YYedYpar-RIRVXSUsnmKNJKyZNI5fZaZSmFJcxAT4ft19oeOOqzIDOHF7x3Q93t9Dd57kr_YhQAdZlIuJvQuVpkBKDLyZJbn4lXRxcJX6JKPMeBGXGQAleNazK3vGsOElh0_HVg-8g/s558/Screenshot%202024-02-25%20at%204.13.45%E2%80%AFPM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="558" data-original-width="430" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_rgt7vBAM9dpvbC5cV5c4ckun-aCwERkvldUoZ6Sat3Y2YYedYpar-RIRVXSUsnmKNJKyZNI5fZaZSmFJcxAT4ft19oeOOqzIDOHF7x3Q93t9Dd57kr_YhQAdZlIuJvQuVpkBKDLyZJbn4lXRxcJX6JKPMeBGXGQAleNazK3vGsOElh0_HVg-8g/w309-h400/Screenshot%202024-02-25%20at%204.13.45%E2%80%AFPM.png" width="309" /></a></div><br /><p>Did you guess? I cut out an arch from white paper and decorated it with liquid pearls, then mounted it on a gelli print and used another gelli print for the 'night' in the window. It's pretty simple but I like it. I also stamped white 'writing' on the lighter piece.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTNH-UHhkx9Z9zmj76ntjKqrF6qiln8uz_n1kH06oZdsEmejLw06u9DY9CRHmTx-Bo14CnH84yY3AtFMnKyMBu-JemMe0lmV5cMdh7nbkLVoTs9Z1FXK3Tsgr2j9NdthNT_Asp9bJBYHyuNZfJ7jCdnE3GZfkZL0dYucuTrqIu2FmiaMj7HL1llw/s4032/IMG_7545.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTNH-UHhkx9Z9zmj76ntjKqrF6qiln8uz_n1kH06oZdsEmejLw06u9DY9CRHmTx-Bo14CnH84yY3AtFMnKyMBu-JemMe0lmV5cMdh7nbkLVoTs9Z1FXK3Tsgr2j9NdthNT_Asp9bJBYHyuNZfJ7jCdnE3GZfkZL0dYucuTrqIu2FmiaMj7HL1llw/w300-h400/IMG_7545.HEIC" width="300" /></a></div>For Seek Gather Create, the prompts were: orange, a crow, something burnt, and something frayed. I used a piece of paper that I had previously used to wipe off my rollers for gelli printing, and did some stamping on that. I had a card from a pen friend in the UK that had a great orange color (this is where she lives!) and put part of the card along with a tilted stamp, washi tape, and crow sticker (I colored the cane orange). The frayed piece is a piece of white paper in the lower left hand corner, and there is a 'burnt' piece of paper by the crow (I made it by dipping a book page into lemon juice and blowing it dry. Thank you Internet). <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJ-gbjfDZXWSaewkvBGEqDukKgmrOQH7R9FGooUVoufuNYpeaHsdS6p7feWt1GgAGbNYA6IZDVdDenL7-71oc2wA-R1rBFORB4Vz3nssOtObYax9_q4kVuYRnKdNDCIYx8HmrCoy7ZwaKEpHs230kxj3ORuR7PpItTnODj5NEQ8lMmZwdQjM9n8g/s4032/IMG_7559%202.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJ-gbjfDZXWSaewkvBGEqDukKgmrOQH7R9FGooUVoufuNYpeaHsdS6p7feWt1GgAGbNYA6IZDVdDenL7-71oc2wA-R1rBFORB4Vz3nssOtObYax9_q4kVuYRnKdNDCIYx8HmrCoy7ZwaKEpHs230kxj3ORuR7PpItTnODj5NEQ8lMmZwdQjM9n8g/w480-h640/IMG_7559%202.HEIC" width="480" /></a></div><div><br /></div>I mounted this in one of my collage books and did a bit more collaging with the rest of the card, some stamping and stenciling, and there you go.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPJzKZHXrMuq0IgFKdU0qLM8237e2RLUGGniHUAffhRKDbvsL8CvL08eQk_PDpn9lRX6znxbtJ0ooSydCiRhfilMAlQjVEEyyJSCKXR3PqJAqgU-TeZqURolKNxHy-BD3_T1udJUSPWhEm5mcxQqe8N3BNEs7Gp0aS1FpKWzx2F_NlVWWmiVW8pQ/s4032/IMG_7562.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPJzKZHXrMuq0IgFKdU0qLM8237e2RLUGGniHUAffhRKDbvsL8CvL08eQk_PDpn9lRX6znxbtJ0ooSydCiRhfilMAlQjVEEyyJSCKXR3PqJAqgU-TeZqURolKNxHy-BD3_T1udJUSPWhEm5mcxQqe8N3BNEs7Gp0aS1FpKWzx2F_NlVWWmiVW8pQ/s320/IMG_7562.HEIC" width="320" /></a></div>For the fifty stack challenge, the two prompts were 'shabby' and 'poppies'. I did a library card and pocket for both of them. The one on the left is shabby, and has some music pages, some interesting papers, a little shabby bird, and a doily. Plus, Scout, ATCs, and planning my next project<p> I cast on for a new sock--for Tim. I am falling behind a bit in sock making for him and he has a few that are wearing out, and so this one is now on the needles. </p><p>This is from West Yorkshire Spinners--their yarn, imho, wears very well (and I'm one of those people who washes our socks in the machine, although most of the time we dry them not in the drier). The colorway is (I think) Blue Tit, and has some lovely colors in it. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHIqDj-H1Qm402dpaVd6-TnOCnk1m0pxJeDb8IJCpgL2uDqKq8B1-FOu25HPNEJYHHcVqDLVX478Xlv_uWwhyFer-mkhsF85MVcUQHQeWvv23QMFbNZHmyNhm7T5GG9aEGDuSJEZ3X2GUEhcwM5drg2jAEMqKd0RFv0B0KfaPC6msLpvyCBJtxYA/s4032/IMG_7571.HEIC" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHIqDj-H1Qm402dpaVd6-TnOCnk1m0pxJeDb8IJCpgL2uDqKq8B1-FOu25HPNEJYHHcVqDLVX478Xlv_uWwhyFer-mkhsF85MVcUQHQeWvv23QMFbNZHmyNhm7T5GG9aEGDuSJEZ3X2GUEhcwM5drg2jAEMqKd0RFv0B0KfaPC6msLpvyCBJtxYA/w480-h640/IMG_7571.HEIC" width="480" /></a></div><p>Obviously it's early days.</p><p>The past few days have been taken up with Scout and with making the Artist Trading Cards for March (theme: St. Patrick's Day, oh so original). Scout had a vet appointment on Tuesday and given some of her issues, we are changing her meds and the vet also wants to do a full set of labs (blood, urine and fecal tests). We ended up being at the vet a bit longer than I expected, so that blew most of Tuesday afternoon. This morning we had to gather the specimens* and then I drove them over to the vet (it's about half an hour each way). I did go to Joann's on the way home and scored some fun supplies. </p><p>In between, I've worked on the St. Patrick's day ATCs. First, I did a master board of a giant collage of a variety of green papers plus some music paper and bits and bobs. Then I cut those down to 2"x3", then mounted them on green paper, and then put a sticker on them. I think they turned out pretty cute. </p><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEQf6JbyRJxkHpomeoSrrtfrUEPoNx2gOHF8GtRCGTJ-OODBod5XwDxpivQEpyFXdck4Q8Kume2xVr_pmxDJpwces61bwbgBihvJT-b538j4CLl_Etc6FiKwZg343g0heQKWeXBc8UtdgCjs3ISW6LpONBycBVTka7li6cUHuXfg69LIibz9zITQ/s3097/IMG_7567.HEIC" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2728" data-original-width="3097" height="564" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEQf6JbyRJxkHpomeoSrrtfrUEPoNx2gOHF8GtRCGTJ-OODBod5XwDxpivQEpyFXdck4Q8Kume2xVr_pmxDJpwces61bwbgBihvJT-b538j4CLl_Etc6FiKwZg343g0heQKWeXBc8UtdgCjs3ISW6LpONBycBVTka7li6cUHuXfg69LIibz9zITQ/w640-h564/IMG_7567.HEIC" width="640" /></a></p><p>I've decided my next project will be <a href="https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/kallias">Kallias</a> that I'm going to knit in a cotton yarn (this could be a disaster, but we'll see). I think it could be a good summer sweater (it is often cool here in mornings and evenings). I ordered <a href="https://knittingfever.com/queensland-collection/yarn/E-COASCOTOM">this yarn</a> in the Marley Beach colorway and it is very reasonably priced--$8 a skein and a bit less than that if you search around a bit. So if you're keeping track, once I finish the MORLEY cowl I will knit a sweater with Marley Beach colored yarn. After that, I guess I will have to search for Mirley and Murley patterns and yarn.</p><p>Today, I'm off to my shift at the Community Center and hopefully it will be a happy day there. I'm getting involved in grant writing which I kind of enjoy and which of course is highly beneficial for the center. </p><p>*Shelby at the vet's office gave me a great tip for collecting urine from female dogs. You need a tray--like a cafeteria tray or a bucket lid or something with a low rim--and once the dog starts peeing you just slide the tray under there. Once collected, it is fairly easy to slip it into a jar for transport to the vet. It worked like a charm! We used a plant mat.</p><p><br /></p>Kim in Oregonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11023886873129498637noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7835299.post-41712445530046426012024-02-21T00:30:00.000-08:002024-02-21T00:30:00.144-08:00Wippity Doo Dah!<p> I have no idea why I am calling this post that. </p><p>Anyway, hello and happy Wednesday--just about 3/4 of the way through February and <span> HOW DID THAT HAPPEN? Here's where I stand with Morley these days--slowly moving through the third (and final) section and contemplating how I will 'close the loop'--I used a temporary bind-on (there is an official name for that but it is escaping me now) and so I can technically graft the two ends together but that is making me a bit nervous. We'll see. I'm sure I can find a good video or 35 to help. </span></p><p><span><br /></span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihp14y0xtLYR66jdT1nuHv6KSJ3SQgfoHAWGuwGHDkyx4Am8fsX_X7MWQhZmjkj5URtvSuwS75SW2xinxGk9oksBz2A-BMK_iJO1IHGZfWnlng53NlMr5kUJV02bbvSEyQR0CkL-LrbFpOShdKnBjvMmaNIoucsVuvw7rKTke7pzO1oEpnsuhMpQ/s4032/IMG_7560.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihp14y0xtLYR66jdT1nuHv6KSJ3SQgfoHAWGuwGHDkyx4Am8fsX_X7MWQhZmjkj5URtvSuwS75SW2xinxGk9oksBz2A-BMK_iJO1IHGZfWnlng53NlMr5kUJV02bbvSEyQR0CkL-LrbFpOShdKnBjvMmaNIoucsVuvw7rKTke7pzO1oEpnsuhMpQ/w480-h640/IMG_7560.HEIC" width="480" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQLtaAXTEsJ7PDikx7XzTSBvsaexzt46Ev-UQ2oLiWzdYmcJLv8vFUxFn5mHNq84235-mkeW9yUOCdXLHGyeLQGCMK65glgICjteXhvu5CEBY3f9_kp99XUydBmR-Z0Djv98qdZoWOEOh7oNGGg2hqMPSti5hsKIpmf8hOFrdEXepWX_KeihGRWw/s4032/IMG_7561.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQLtaAXTEsJ7PDikx7XzTSBvsaexzt46Ev-UQ2oLiWzdYmcJLv8vFUxFn5mHNq84235-mkeW9yUOCdXLHGyeLQGCMK65glgICjteXhvu5CEBY3f9_kp99XUydBmR-Z0Djv98qdZoWOEOh7oNGGg2hqMPSti5hsKIpmf8hOFrdEXepWX_KeihGRWw/w400-h300/IMG_7561.HEIC" width="400" /></a></div><br />I think the big tube will be fun, and I'm very happy I used these not-solid yarns as I think it gives a lot of interest to the cowl.<p></p><p><span>I had a fun trip to Eugene--I drove over Sunday night, stayed in a hotel and then spent most of the next day meeting with former colleagues and teaching a class. First, the bluebird's cherry tree has a lower part done. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhh9mQWwLhQe3x6Vb2Wp2RaAWsfRVbFs2jXKJDQ7ticvdPOLpmJPA8tJIW6dSAxgAP6H5BzEhttuUYK3T4RlrNtH58iLVTcCOTmGh4sLSadiS1vXbwrC3L_WwquNGojIjOd1tpMOWoQa1VuRjvat038wV_5lvQS0sDL_cFSPN4HDTsuTPZA-1dSNQ/s4032/IMG_7554.HEIC" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhh9mQWwLhQe3x6Vb2Wp2RaAWsfRVbFs2jXKJDQ7ticvdPOLpmJPA8tJIW6dSAxgAP6H5BzEhttuUYK3T4RlrNtH58iLVTcCOTmGh4sLSadiS1vXbwrC3L_WwquNGojIjOd1tpMOWoQa1VuRjvat038wV_5lvQS0sDL_cFSPN4HDTsuTPZA-1dSNQ/w480-h640/IMG_7554.HEIC" width="480" /></a></div>It looks a bit unbalanced but I'm reminding myself there is tree on the top and a lot of bottom to put in. <div><br /></div><div>Second is the mandala piece, and I suspect this will be done by next week's TNT. I have a few founds to show you today.</p><p>First off is this week's Seek Gather Create challenge, where the prompts were: teal, stripes, a face, wing or wings. Here is what I came up with:</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQyLIrc_j4ULNzvymShelR2LFDrQ9NeNLxkgffVMej_ce38c9zapYV11NoJ6ENgYBtK36yApd5ic3Ds14TGFdXSFnxkm8dT_x__G2xE9MoR3ky_6AXRKfAPoMChK4CrzvqVpmJoP6iEhyq7Emf5eG7AyCQRRMEiHOpWD-ZbwZW5WI68vM4tUumEQ/s4032/IMG_7519.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQyLIrc_j4ULNzvymShelR2LFDrQ9NeNLxkgffVMej_ce38c9zapYV11NoJ6ENgYBtK36yApd5ic3Ds14TGFdXSFnxkm8dT_x__G2xE9MoR3ky_6AXRKfAPoMChK4CrzvqVpmJoP6iEhyq7Emf5eG7AyCQRRMEiHOpWD-ZbwZW5WI68vM4tUumEQ/w480-h640/IMG_7519.HEIC" width="480" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Several of these elements came from an etsy store I love called Land of Nod studios. The stripes were the 'holder' for a bunch of stickers (something put into the envelope to keep it from bending) that I bought, and both the girl and the cat are from there (the cat was a freebie too). There's collage paper over teal cardstock. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I put this collage in my 'big collage book' and did an accompanying piece for it: </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivF-wD3Hr5V5ck3-CDZl1gdOMrwu2_dpnYza04UdAMatRTjYVsyFZql5rO1-sHxatJe6yLlYjZxdexVsjxwyRNjRktdCiBrSAtZVYrEROoE8AcDx1rSHHMQKt_9npFVXX5OLVuPwWeMJ3c6M7sLP_k1I6q3Px4B5-zneKkrjNhJ-DOGh53mgVRTA/s4032/IMG_7539.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivF-wD3Hr5V5ck3-CDZl1gdOMrwu2_dpnYza04UdAMatRTjYVsyFZql5rO1-sHxatJe6yLlYjZxdexVsjxwyRNjRktdCiBrSAtZVYrEROoE8AcDx1rSHHMQKt_9npFVXX5OLVuPwWeMJ3c6M7sLP_k1I6q3Px4B5-zneKkrjNhJ-DOGh53mgVRTA/w640-h480/IMG_7539.HEIC" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The butterflies on the left hand page are cool. They were part of the 'advent box' from Cora Crea creates, which I really didn't like that well but these butterflies were one of the good things. They're transfers so you rub them off on the page. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I also used them in my collage day planner. I think the prompt for this week was soething to do with music and I just kind of ignored it. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFRVQ_X419dVScndvuo7xmD7SxrHpCm9iff0vcTVtz6OX0sDzlh1btT7olNPNVlQzaffzX1Sjyt-jlPpCfim9-IWbbsvBHBzoFq3-fBDGorHm4Uid2JZxGTp4aslXgHh3bhYMNBoEupvTrVGkyhayR_UCZwL9L_HV_dZOXGIG0FwypAbNonwuJOQ/s4032/IMG_7540.heic" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFRVQ_X419dVScndvuo7xmD7SxrHpCm9iff0vcTVtz6OX0sDzlh1btT7olNPNVlQzaffzX1Sjyt-jlPpCfim9-IWbbsvBHBzoFq3-fBDGorHm4Uid2JZxGTp4aslXgHh3bhYMNBoEupvTrVGkyhayR_UCZwL9L_HV_dZOXGIG0FwypAbNonwuJOQ/w640-h480/IMG_7540.heic" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Another challenge was the 50 Stacks Challenge, where you make two pieces of ephemera each week. It seems like I'm not really making a lot this year so far. </p><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuGqrtF5KJj2cyNVnGBi88gkFLe34Hbxv53_SI3v1U81xeIbOurtQilVHzKHxgACwA8xYFQPQoQevqh0gtoHcgq6cRL0fwwqb8yzWgtQ4nJOdXM7Zw4DWjw63XXW8AmcQE2hYjJR7wwAYlpjSEyKylh4cfM4vjLNZW_Enq1bBXto3Qt2C8CJQE3g/s4032/IMG_7538.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuGqrtF5KJj2cyNVnGBi88gkFLe34Hbxv53_SI3v1U81xeIbOurtQilVHzKHxgACwA8xYFQPQoQevqh0gtoHcgq6cRL0fwwqb8yzWgtQ4nJOdXM7Zw4DWjw63XXW8AmcQE2hYjJR7wwAYlpjSEyKylh4cfM4vjLNZW_Enq1bBXto3Qt2C8CJQE3g/w480-h640/IMG_7538.HEIC" width="480" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p>I started these around January 20th so it took almost a month to make them which seems like a long time but in reality is--26 days? Two weeks to make one sock? This second one was started 2/4 or 2/5 so that was 10 or 11 days to make the second one? WHY AM I OBSESSING OVER THIS? Of course, I have a second project (the cowl) on the needles (that I will now obsess over finishing) and I also don't knit that much in the evenings (I do embroidery) so I need to stop making myself feel bad for not finishing this up quickly. </p><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsfOQy7w6NEKcaXvXbBnGs6j8Uf8sCcHcRoN-q1wWDryVUvaBqVHho1IcmaN1UOVMv6JnXm6iPF01RMLpNzBmV5iZF9SPOxE4YbgOC_-Z1ZWHmYo0zCbHTZ5ByirCpS1U3IaXeoerEA8AZqsKjLIFmFRFQqHq0bjhKzPXj1CjebMyNYqLT40FlIA/s4032/IMG_7537.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsfOQy7w6NEKcaXvXbBnGs6j8Uf8sCcHcRoN-q1wWDryVUvaBqVHho1IcmaN1UOVMv6JnXm6iPF01RMLpNzBmV5iZF9SPOxE4YbgOC_-Z1ZWHmYo0zCbHTZ5ByirCpS1U3IaXeoerEA8AZqsKjLIFmFRFQqHq0bjhKzPXj1CjebMyNYqLT40FlIA/w480-h640/IMG_7537.HEIC" width="480" /></a></p><p>And I feel like I'm a bit spacey today---I bound off this sock (at the cuff) and tied it off, then realized I had only bound off one side (I did these on two circular needles) so I had to re-do it. It's a bit of a different one for me as Tim is in St. Louis doing--something--to recognize his Mom's passing (it seems to be sort of an open house and 'after party' at Tim's brother's house). We never do much for Valentine's Day but generally there is a nice dinner and something involving chocolate. Instead, I brought these home from Brandalyn and Blooms (our local florist). </p><p>Brandy (the florist) is a lovely person who lives a very 'coastal' life. She has this little flower and gift shop, and manages a storage facility that she inherited, and is also a real estate broker. And just a lovely person. </p><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4Z7lF0_d1SAm6Aema1Qq2ZjpQ12vEsvClBF-A3nwHrQ6HsN5Bvp4CYNgnZjrLBHKoCd78jzwEYsBCw-31mzGuNELjO1c1MVQkU9-K6uH73xyqIwXOEw98f-JSOaQK7QlfpQ1EZyL3SBDHnTYfakolwtmICIwRXCgsG-4QYGEYzC6pYGRu_n17MA/s4032/IMG_7520%202.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4Z7lF0_d1SAm6Aema1Qq2ZjpQ12vEsvClBF-A3nwHrQ6HsN5Bvp4CYNgnZjrLBHKoCd78jzwEYsBCw-31mzGuNELjO1c1MVQkU9-K6uH73xyqIwXOEw98f-JSOaQK7QlfpQ1EZyL3SBDHnTYfakolwtmICIwRXCgsG-4QYGEYzC6pYGRu_n17MA/w480-h640/IMG_7520%202.HEIC" width="480" /></a></p><p><br /></p><p>I've been knitting along on the rainbow socks, and I'm pretty close to the end. As I've mentioned before, these aren't nearly as vibrant as I thought they would be (but they're fine) and there's also some weird dye spots in the yellow stripe. I still like them. </p><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPfVNHr3Zib2kHo4-ZM5FWnqrmKKgP4v79Ea1_1Ybpx0zyjrYYyWHZjbtXPfxTF_l7J0cPlQY8jcaEsAWtdEQBlnQG3I061qMSz0JQilSWnMzMT4OfoAfFTbzai018GkkYMLbJDHLmXYhx6F5E4humw4T7Xmyps9usry5L-8_oRIB1bzHscfrOPw/s4032/IMG_7528.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPfVNHr3Zib2kHo4-ZM5FWnqrmKKgP4v79Ea1_1Ybpx0zyjrYYyWHZjbtXPfxTF_l7J0cPlQY8jcaEsAWtdEQBlnQG3I061qMSz0JQilSWnMzMT4OfoAfFTbzai018GkkYMLbJDHLmXYhx6F5E4humw4T7Xmyps9usry5L-8_oRIB1bzHscfrOPw/w480-h640/IMG_7528.HEIC" width="480" /></a></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">These two are celebrating Valentine's Day by being good dogs. </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9LTHaIN5yBMBR3WHZEsh_Bt7GC3guOb7DXfAgr8b_TcL8ZZ594i9TOETTl-P9LnptEa9J835Ru5ztfoF3wRp36E_Q9gQxR915JSc7HeYLSMAbLimoEQ-u552GgqetsYS7wE8fhPtegTgiB-ZXJagSw3jQuaXlwOIRttoYMWbUJC9NyvEBegB-FQ/s4032/IMG_7525.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9LTHaIN5yBMBR3WHZEsh_Bt7GC3guOb7DXfAgr8b_TcL8ZZ594i9TOETTl-P9LnptEa9J835Ru5ztfoF3wRp36E_Q9gQxR915JSc7HeYLSMAbLimoEQ-u552GgqetsYS7wE8fhPtegTgiB-ZXJagSw3jQuaXlwOIRttoYMWbUJC9NyvEBegB-FQ/w480-h640/IMG_7525.HEIC" width="480" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">And finally, these arrived yesterday (it's a very short video). The only reason I mention that is that the Super Bowl gives one plenty of time for craftiness. And given the game was pretty dull until Q4, I got a lot done on a new project, even with a nice break for Tim's delicious pot stickers. </p><p>First, let's check in with the blue bird. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOWI6wy1xLnpn4cMc9aJHMp7Vez_D7D0ewcZO-BiSfswrbRdxRlAq4XF40GFRLH929DazgPTAda9ccqn97wvAQsEJZz_JHNGujGUcCZ5iOkPJJEFRak4RwVp8vUJ9nzXVnpVqe1HU9tdH5XiDs1MTwZ79Gy1pCyuzYelqTYPioIEUYfsSGSE30WQ/s4032/IMG_7523.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOWI6wy1xLnpn4cMc9aJHMp7Vez_D7D0ewcZO-BiSfswrbRdxRlAq4XF40GFRLH929DazgPTAda9ccqn97wvAQsEJZz_JHNGujGUcCZ5iOkPJJEFRak4RwVp8vUJ9nzXVnpVqe1HU9tdH5XiDs1MTwZ79Gy1pCyuzYelqTYPioIEUYfsSGSE30WQ/w480-h640/IMG_7523.HEIC" width="480" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p>This has a lot of white tree to stitch. I like her mandalas and this one has some interesting colors (in a good way).
